Not sure where to start your wedding dress search? Here are the boutiques we've noted our clients frequenting - and we're big fans!

We could really spend all day looking at wedding dress inspiration and building bridal Pinterest boards, but for those of you not sure where to start, here's a list of some of our favourite London bridal boutiques and wedding dress designers.

1. Temperley Bridal

Since its founding in 2000, Temperley London become a household name among fashionistas and brides-to-be. Founder Alice Temperley created her ‘modern-bohemian’ line after graduating from the Royal College of Art, using artisan techniques and ethereal design to develop her uber-feminine collections. Temperley Bridal similarly emphasises exquisite design, featuring opulent Swarovski embellishments and hand-woven silk laces from Chantilly.

‘Inspired by old school Hollywood glamour and film noir icons’, it's easy to see why Alice Temperley has a hoard of celebrity fans, from Kate Middleton to Millie Mackintosh and Keira Knightley. Temperley Bridal frequents the pages of Vogue and fashion columns alike. The famed name no-doubt comes with a hefty price tag, but we think it’s well worth a trip to their Colville Mews store for a truly magical experience, or at least a scroll through their latest, dreamy collection.

2. Charlie Brear

Millennials interested in current and creative design should check out Charlie Brear - definitely a destination that tops our list of the best wedding dress shops in London. Young, fun and contemporary, Charlie caters for the design-conscious bride of today. Her wedding dress career began in 2005 when she noted her friends’ interest in alternative wedding attire, and after selling one-off pieces began to design her own collections of Bridal and evening wear.

Check out Charlie Brear's 2022 collection, complete with star-embroidered lace and the plunge-neck jumpsuit of dreams. This brand suits the easy-going, trendy bride with major cool-girl vibes. Where high-fashion meets contemporary lifestyle, be sure to give them a follow on Instagram and a visit to the store.

3. Blake Ida

This is one to get excited about - the wedding dress designs at Blake Ida have us captivated, and we can't wait to see what this blossoming brand brings out next. Laid-back meets high fashion, some may call Blake Ida's approach to modern wedding dress styling Parisian in taste, whilst there is something undoubtedly 'London' about the rule-busting designs. Alongside their innovative collections, Blake Ida offer a bespoke service, allowing you to work collaboratively with their founder and designer, Carrie Matthews.

We adore the diversity in Blake Ida's designs - truly something for everyone. From ruffled mini dresses to corseted gowns, simple summer-style dress to puff-sleeved, whimsical designs, explore the latest styles from Blake Ida to find something unique.

4. Heart Aflutter

Minutes away from the hustle and bustle of London Fields’ vibrant Broadway Market, Heart Aflutter provides the perfect boutique experience by private appointment only. Carrying eleven independent designers, you’ll be spoilt for choice as you peruse the rails with a cup of tea or coffee.

The super-relaxed environment and diverse range is perfect for anyone who isn’t really sure where to start: Truvelle for a boho bride, Lena Medoyeff for simplistic beauty or Scout Bridal for timeless elegance, to name a few. You’ll be encouraged to take your time to find what is right for you.

5. Luella's Bridal

Pinterest-esque, this one is for the boho-bride seeking out that fine balance between classic and personal. The brand operate largely via Instagram, where you can enquire about their services and reach out for you personalised bridal styling experience.
