How it works

What is bespoke jewellery?

Bespoke jewellery is designed and made especially for you.

It all starts with a conversation. You'll meet with our designers to tell them why you're creating your piece and share any ideas you may have, and explore the possibilities together. From this, they will develop designs that capture your story while staying true to Vashi's signature design codes.

Which Vashi stores offer bespoke consultations?

We offer bespoke consultations in all Vashi stores. In addition, if it isn't easy for you to visit us or you would prefer to chat from the comfort of your own home, you can book a virtual consultation and speak with us via video.

Do I need to prepare anything for my consultation?

You don't need to prepare anything for your consultation. However, it is always helpful for us to know a few things:

  • Are you creating something bespoke for yourself or for someone you love?
  • What type of jewellery would you like to design: a ring, necklace, earrings or bracelet?
  • Why do you want to create something bespoke?
  • Is there anything that you particularly like or dislike?

We'll work with you to make your ideas a reality, so the answers to these questions will help us design your dream bespoke piece.
  • How long does the bespoke process take?

The bespoke process starts with a consultation. After this initial meeting, our designers will work on the designs and the pricing, which can take up to five working days. Once you have approved your final design and placed your order, it will take three weeks to create your bespoke piece.

If you need your jewellery in time for a special moment, we will try our best to have it ready in time. However, this is arranged on an individual basis and depends on the complexity of the design and any gemstones that we may need to source.

Can I see my jewellery being made?

Yes, you can see your jewellery being crafted in-store and take a seat at the workbench to have a hand in the making – you can even help set the centre stone yourself. In our Covent Garden store, you can see the CAD design, watch the casting process, or have your piece engraved in real time in the laser lab.

I need help with inspiration. Do you have example pieces?

Yes, there are example bespoke pieces in our Covent Garden flagship. Our designers can also share inspirational sketches in your consultation to spark your imagination and help you refine your search.

Will I see sketches of my bespoke piece in my consultations?

Yes, you will be able to see bespoke sketches in your consultations.

Our designers will start sketching their ideas during your initial conversation. After this, they will work up the illustrations and present them to you – along with the quotes – within five working days.

How many times can I change the design?

While there is no maximum number of amends, we usually find that our bespoke customers approve a design within the first or second round of sketches.

How many different designs will I be able to choose from?

We will present up to three different designs for you to choose from.

How will Vashi keep me updated on the status of my piece?

We will be in touch via email to organise your consultations, send you the final sketch and quote and let you know when your bespoke piece is ready for collection or dispatch. If you have any questions along the way or would simply like to speak to us about your bespoke design, contact our Customer Service team at [email protected].

    Quotes and payment

Is there a minimum spend for bespoke orders?

There is no minimum order value for bespoke designs.

When do I pay for bespoke jewellery?

You pay for bespoke orders in the same way you would pay for any Vashi jewellery – with one up-front payment or through our finance provider.

We'll take your payment when you have selected and approved your final design. Our team will then begin creating your piece.
