VM Producer


This role will hold responsibility for the project management of visual merchandising and production of store marketing. Working closely with the Head of Brand Ops, VM creative leads and the Retail Experience Dirtector, the VM Producer will support in the development of visual concepts, ensuring maximum visual impact for the brand to build a customer experience that communicates the brand identity. The VM Producer will manage planning, implementation and production of all visual directives and standards from concept to store delivery across visual merchandise, window installations, in-store imagery, new and refurbished store launches, store styling and seasonal special events.

Role and Responsibilities

Project management

  • Managing the visual updates in-store, ensuring smooth running of all initiatives and all assets and materials are produced, ordered and implemented correctly in the field 

  • Managing production of the graphic updates for new and refurbished stores, on core merchandising and launch collateral as outlined by the Visual Team in a consistent way to the current overall look and feel of the brand

  • Manage the visual calendar and schedule, ensuring all projects are fulfilled on time

  • Coordination and production of special projects and store layout changes

  • Sourcing, procurement and supplier management

  • Manage external suppliers to ensure all collateral is produced within budget parameters and delivered on time 

  • Lead regular field visits to ensure that all visual implementation in-store is of a high standard and consistent to brand image guidelines and brand merchandising. 

  • Undertake regular VM reviews of each activity, collating and producing quantitative and qualitative feedback, key learnings and future recommendations 

  • Act as a brand ambassador and guardian at all times, ensuring all VM is executed consistently and is truly representative of the brand whilst being engaging for the customer


Planning, timelines, budget management

  • Responsible for ensuring all VM projects and their co dependencies are managed efficiently across planning, timelines and budgets, ensuring correct approvals have been established

  • Responsible for reviewing, monitoring and managing the VM budget across projects

  • Budget and financial administration of nominated areas within the VM department 


Communication and development

  • Work with VM creative lead to develop, implement and communicate VM Guidelines for all stores ensuring new in-store manifestation projects are supported by clear, functional guidelines, to ensure that store staff are implementing new tools correctly 

  • Clear communication with internal stakeholders ensuring all are kept up to date, informed or given approval where necessary

  • Create presentations of in-store brand manifestation accurate window diagrams/ elevations and ensure these are shared company-wide to improve visibility across our business

  • Feed back to the brand team with store-specific needs, clearly identifying the needs of the  business

  • Create, collate, update and maintain a core VM database for UK market suppliers and key fixtures


Creative innovation

  • Support the Creative VM lead in the development of the VM creative strategy for the brand 

  • Developing from brand assets VM directives with the VM Creative lead and external suppliers, from brief through to production, ensuring consistency with the brand image, within budgetary parameters and to market specifications 


Commercial focus

  • Responsible for developing a streamlined approach to VM activities to support efficient ways of working

  • Continuously appraise external suppliers to maximise efficiency and return on investment

  • Identify barriers and challenges and find solutions to remove these and look for new initiatives

Skills and experience

  • 2+ years relevant experience, creating visual directives and managing retail focused projects

  • Impeccable project, budget and cost management skills

  • Excellent sourcing, procurement and supplier management skills 

  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; can work collaboratively and cross-functionally 

  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges, driven to continually improve 

  • Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated 

  • Successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities 

  • Ensure all project reporting is completed on a timely basis 

  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Package
