HR Manager

Customers can pull up a chair to customise their design, personalise with an engraving, choose a treasured stone, or design completely from scratch. 

The key objective for this role, to partner with our key stakeholders across Retail and Head Office, supporting the current and future business needs through developing the HR support function to create a continuous improvement culture identifying initiatives for improvement and driving business and cultural change, along with supporting and building the HR strategy with HRD, Head of Training and entire HR function.

Role and Responsibilities


  • Deliver a unique employee experience that consistently exceeds employee’s expectations
  • Developing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Assist the business in becoming a ‘stand out’ employer of choice
  • Constantly communicating the founder’s vision, mission and cultural values, along with leading by example to other colleagues
  • Manage the HR Assistant, developing their skills and knowledge, skills and experience to deliver high quality, business focused employee orientated service
  • Advise on all company policy matters
  • Update, create and deliver internal policies to support the business objectives
  • Lead on all disciplinary, investigation and grievance procedures
  • Support HRD with all talent management and succession planning
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment legislation to be able to confidently advise Managers
  • Visit Retail stores regularly to ensure HR processes are adhered to
  • Develop a strategic approach to the implementation of HR services, policies and programs through the HR team – adding value to all HR interventions
  • Provides new innovative ideas for the department through experience and feedback from employees
  • Analyze HR Metrics to monitor and proactively manage KPI’s and trends across the company to support future planning
  • Prepares and presents reports using the HR Metrics to HRD
  • Identify training needs for teams and individuals
  • Any other adhoc tasks

Skills and experience

  • Ideally CIPD qualified, or part qualified  
  • Proven experience within a HR function, Senior HR Advisor level or above preferably
  • Solid experience with HR practices and employee management
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Hold the ability to inspire others
  • A strong influencer and leader
  • Experience in problem solving and decision-making tasks
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without dropping standards
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
